Ramsey Wyles and Patricia Murray, both with Habitat for Humanity, presented to the LCNA at ourMay 10th meeting.
This organization has been in Seattle for more than 30 years and will be building in Lake City on land donated by the Seattle Housing Authority: 12535 35th Ave NE, 98125. The plan is to build 16 townhouses, each with between 3 and 4 bedrooms. They hope to start construction of the foundations early in 2019, then building 8 homes at a time through the end of 2021.

- demonstrated need
- ability to pay: housing costs set at 30% of the person’s gross income
- willingness to partner
- 250 hours of sweat equity or volunteer time

The basic goal of family support is to help families break the poverty cycle and become independent and self-sufficient. A Support Partner seeks to welcome new families into the habitat family and to provide them with a mutual support system, educational opportunities and a support form for discussions regarding homeownership and relevant Habitat policies and procedures.
