About
Our Work
Lake City Neighborhood Alliance (LCNA) member organizations are already working to assess and address community needs through separate neighborhood groups and individual missions. Formally established in 2013, the work of the LCNA is to provide a conduit for these groups to identify common goals, pool resources, and support each other in developing and realizing neighborhood projects. We continually seek input through active engagement. Details are contained in the LCNA Bylaws.
Our Priorities
The lack of a robust Community Center in Lake City has been LCNA’s highest priority since 2014. We believe this is a racial and social justice issue that manifests as a lack of infrastructure. Current major concerns also include:
- public safety and transportation
- displacement of small businesses
- the opioid crisis and homelessness
- affordable housing
- parks and green spaces

Our Lake City Neighborhood:
We are located in the northeast corner of Seattle, covering a little over 4 square miles:
- NE 95th Street to NE 145th Street
- Lake Washington to 15th Ave NE
- 7th Congressional, 46th State, and Seattle City Council District 5.
Lake City has many groups working to build and maintain a vibrant neighborhood. With its geography divided by a state highway and major arterials, one of Lake City’s challenges is to overcome both a physical and mental sense of separation. To that end, the LCNA was formed to help coordinate the efforts of these separate neighborhood groups.
LCNA member organizations work to actively engage their constituents in decisions and projects, especially as they impact families, homes, and livelihoods.
