Starting Tuesday, July 16, Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) crews will fill cracks in several northern locations, including:
15th Avenue NE, between NE 145th St. & NE 120th St.
This work is unrelated to the repaving currently happening along NE 125th and Sand Point Way. It may add to traffic congestion, however, particularly at the intersection of NE 125th and 15th Ave NE.
SDOT states, “No street closures will be required, but there will be lane closures of up to four hours and on-street parking will be restricted. Typical work hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. “No-parking” signs will be posted 72 hours in advance. SDOT crews will work to minimize any delays and will provide assistance as needed. Traffic flaggers will be present during maintenance work. Sidewalks will remain open at all times.
This process will reduce the amount of water that seeps under the pavement causing potholes and other roadway damage. This preventative maintenance work will help to prolong the life of the pavement.”
